Edmontosaurus is a herbivorous hadrosaurid dinosaur in Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis found in the Hell Creek Formation B dig site.

Description[]

Edmontosaurus is a hadrosaur from North America distinguished by a tan and yellow colored body, black stripes along its back and around its legs, and both a faded green and orange streak running along its body. Physically it resembles other hadrosaurs with 4 legs and a beaked mouth.

With it's 3 star rating, it is not especially useful to the progression of a player's park and generally fills the role of being useful to increase the park's diversity by placing it alongside the more useful dinosaur from its dig site, Triceratops.

Behavior[]

Edmontosaurus behaves similarly to other hadrosaurs such as Parasaurolophus in that It will tend to prefer herds for protection. It is especially vulnerable to all large carnivores and other species such as Velociraptors. It is otherwise invulnerable to Dilophosaurus and unlikely to be successfully hunted down by smaller carnivores such as Ceratosaurus.

When not under threat, Edmontosaurus will tend to casually wander about its exhibit or socialize with others of its species while letting out a distinctive, almost whale like, cry.

Paleontology[]

Edmontosaurus was originally discovered in the Horseshoe Canyon Formation of Alberta, Canada in 1917 by Lawrence Lambe. In life, it lived during the late Cretaceous and was one of the last non-avian dinosaurs.[1]
